I have spent a sabbatical year at North Carolina State University.

It was great. Both for professional and for personal reasons.

I came back in April 2015, approximately three years ago.

Some topics I intend to discuss here (or in other posts):
  * The Realsearch group and related topics
    * Reading Group
    * The bright young people Laurie Williams selected to form her group
    * Other Software Engineering professors at NC State: Emerson, Menzies, Parnin. 
  * Hunt library and Hill library 
  * NC State, UNC and Duke
    * Thy UNC and Duke are much richer than NC State
    * Why NC State is at least as important as these two
      * Engineering
      * More students
  * Raleigh and the triangle
  * Three young muslims were murdered
  * Running in the US and in the Triangle
    * I ran two marathons (NYC Marathon 2014 and Tobacco Road Marathon 2015)
      * I got tired of marathons!
    * I "won" (very small) races
    * I ran on Saturdays
    * I ran in a parkrun
    * I volunteered for a race
    * I volunteered for a parkrun
  * Snow!
  * The need for cars. Buses are not that good. Free buses at the university. Transloc.
  * Run commute. Walk commute.
