What have I learned from "Digital Minimalism", by Cal Newport

Book: Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World by Cal Newport https://amzn.to/2HJDKYL. Cal is also the author of “Deep Work” https://amzn.to/2Y9HRTM and “So Good They Can't Ignore You” https://amzn.to/2HIkHhy.

Long Walks.

Digital declutter is not digital detox. It is better. After you do a digital detox, you go back to what you were doing. After you declutter, you only reintroduce what you think is necessary or desirable, informed by your 30-day experience without those apps.

Is that why Cal Newport is the Marie Kondo of Smartphones?

After you declutter your house following something like the KonMarie method, you don't immediately introduce new things to replace the old things you threw (or gave) away.

Solitude is important. You have to be away from any input from other brains. That means podcast, books, music, messages, social networks, email.
